Disney+ has been on a roll in 2025. The streaming giant isn’t just home to most of the Marvel and Star Wars franchises, but continues to impress the audience with its original programming.
The platform offers something for every generation and genre, and its October slate looks especially exciting. However, with so much to watch, it’s only natural to get a little overwhelmed. To get you started, though, here are 4 Disney+ shows to binge-watch this week.

‘Chad Powers’ (2025-)
Glenn Powell’s Chad Powers has become the talk of the town since its September 30, 2025, premiere. The show, created by and starring Anyone But You actor, is based on the viral ESPN+ skit where NFL quarterback Eli Manning disguised himself as the clumsy Chad Power and showed up at Penn State’s open football tryouts. The sketch featured Manning as he donned a wig and prosthetics to pass off as a horrible athlete while trying to make the team. The unexpected success of the hit led to Manning’s production company, Omaha Productions, expanding the character into a full series, which is currently trending at No. 2 on Disney+ Worldwide. Chad Powers follows Russ Holiday, a former college quarterback whose career comes crashing down when he lashes out at a fan after a humiliating loss.
Things take a turn when he decides to disguise himself as the eccentric titular character and try out for a struggling Southern college football team. Powell is, of course, the heart of the show in his dual role. Watching Russ struggle to balance his two lives without blowing his cover immediately makes for an engaging conflict. Powell isn’t the only one putting on a great performance, though, because his chemistry with Steve Zahn’s Coach Jake and Perry Mattfield’s assistant coach Ricky adds layers to what might have otherwise been yet another one-dimensional sports comedy. The way these characters bring out the best and sometimes the worst in each other feels relatable and human, and that adds the perfect balance to the show’s otherwise goofy tone. Chad Powers Season 1 will continue to air on Hulu till October 28, and with the first two episodes already streaming, now is the perfect time to catch up.

‘Marvel Zombies’ (2025-)
Marvel Zombies has quickly become one of the most high-performing animated series to hit Disney+ in 2025 and is currently dominating the streaming platform at No. 1 worldwide after its September 24 release. Now, it’s easy to see why the show is performing so well, given that it is a spin-off of the fan-favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) anthology series, What If…?, that explores alternate timelines in the multiverse. Marvel Zombies picks up from the What If…? Episode titled “What If… Zombies?!,” and expands on the alternate reality where a virus has turned most of the world’s population, including the Avengers, into zombies. The spin-off brings together familiar MCU characters, including Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Riri Williams (Ironheart), and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), as they team up to survive in this post-apocalyptic world and bring an end to the zombie plague.
From a technical perspective, the series is way more immersive than its predecessor, with a noticeably higher animation quality that perfectly complements its dark narrative. The show is obviously a treat for longtime MCU fans who get to see unexpected interactions between characters from the franchise who might not have crossed paths otherwise. At the same time, Marvel Zombies is a breath of fresh air in the growing landscape of Marvel content that has started to feel somewhat redundant. For example, the series introduces an animated version of the vampire slayer Blade (Todd Williams), which naturally fuels the anticipation for the upcoming live-action film starring Mahershala Ali. The fact that these characters don’t actually tie back into the larger MCU storyline is what makes the show approachable and experimental at the same time. Marvel Zombies’ self-contained story also makes it the perfect watch for newcomers and offers a fresh, accessible entry point into the MCU.

‘High Potential’ (2024-)
High Potential turns the crime procedural genre on its head in the best way possible and proves that impactful shows don’t always have to be dark and gritty. The show premiered in 2024 and is currently trending at No. 3 on Disney+ worldwide after the release of Season 2 on September 16. High Potential follows Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson), a single mother with an IQ of 160 who works as a janitor at the LAPD. However, when she solves a complex case with her unconventional methods, she is offered a role as a civilian consultant and starts working alongside Detective Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata). The disciplined detective completely disapproves of Morgan’s chaotic way of doing things, and this dynamic becomes the heart of the show. Now, this push and pull could have gotten stale really easily, but the actors’ brilliant performances keep it grounded.
The duo tackles a new case each episode, which keeps the show feeling fresh, but it’s the larger character arcs that tie everything together. Over the course of the show, we get a glimpse into Morgan’s past and the mystery of her missing ex-husband. The charm of High Potential lies in how it weaves its episodic crime-solving with the characters’ personal struggles. The show isn’t just a mindless whodunit, but it uses all these cases as a window that helps you understand Morgan on a deeper level. Some might call High Potential formulaic, but that sense of familiarity is what makes the show perfect for binging. Unlike most other procedural shows, The Disney+ series offers a lighter approach to crime-solving, which easily appeals to a wide range of viewers.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (2005-)
Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 is set to premiere on October 9, which explains why the long-running show is currently trending at No. 8 worldwide on Disney+. The medical drama follows a group of doctors at the fictional Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital in Seattle as they navigate their high-stakes careers and personal lives. Grey’s Anatomy began with the story of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), a young and talented doctor who begins her journey at Seattle Grace Hospital alongside her group of fellow interns. What’s interesting, though, is that Grey’s Anatomy has never really been a show about one person. Whether it’s Sandra Oh’s Christina Yang, James Pickens Jr.’s Richard Webber, or Justin Chamber’s Alex Karev, every character in the story has had their own arcs, relationships, and career challenges that you feel equally invested in.
In Season 19, Meredith officially took a backseat as a new group of interns took over the central narrative. This transition proves that Grey’s Anatomy isn’t afraid of evolving with time, which is why the show is still on air. Some might mistake Grey’s Anatomy for a typical medical procedural, but it’s way more character-driven than shows like Chicago Med or ER. Grey’s Anatomy really shines in how it goes beyond the hospital and really dives into complex human emotions and relationships through the medical cases that the doctors are dealing with, which eventually become catalysts for them to confront their own internal struggles. This sweet balance is what makes the show the perfect binge-watch. Not to mention the fact that it offers 20 years’ worth of content to dive into. Although the real question is: can you catch up in time for the upcoming season?
