1.Maha Kumbh history in Hindu Mythology

According to the legend of Samudra Manthan, Lord Vishnu obtained a golden pitcher containing the nectar of immortality from the demons. During this event, a few drops of the nectar fell to Earth, landing at the sites of present-day Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. These locations subsequently became the four cities that host the Kumbh Mela on a rotational basis.
