While everything else is only speculation, here is what we can expect from the Korean tech giant on Wednesday.
Galaxy S25 series
The much-anticipated Galaxy S25 series will feature three models: the Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The Ultra model is rumoured to come with a flat-frame design and rounded edges, a significant departure from the angular style of its predecessor. The Ultra may introduce a 16GB RAM option, an upgrade over the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s maximum of 12GB. Camera upgrades include a 50MP ultra-wide sensor replacing the 12MP lens of the previous model.
The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus models are expected to feature brighter displays with thinner bezels and the same Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, marking Samsung’s pivot from scaling Exynos processors.
Leaks suggest that all three Galaxy S25 models are likely to see a ₹5,000 price increase in India compared to the Galaxy S24 series.
The Galaxy S25 Slim, a thinner variant, will reportedly be available in only 39 countries, including India, the UK, Australia, and Türkiye. According to reports, it will not be available in the US, Canada, China or even Samsung’s home country South Korea.
OneUI 7
Samsung’s OneUI 7 is also expected to debut, introducing significant design and security upgrades. Users can look forward to features like a customisable Lock Screen Now Bar, redesigned camera controls, and streamlined home screen widgets. Privacy enhancements include the Knox Matrix Dashboard for unified security management, passkey-based logins, and Theft Detection Lock, introduced through Android 15.
Galaxy AI and Gemini integration
AI innovation will play a central role in the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung’s Galaxy AI is set to offer features like Multimodal Sketch-to-Image, allowing users to create visuals from sketches, text, and voice commands. New writing tools integrated into the system keyboard will enable text summarisation, style recommendations, and grammar checks.
The AI-powered Now Brief will provide personalised updates on weather, health goals, news, and gallery highlights directly from the lock screen. Samsung is also rumoured to collaborate with Google for Gemini integration, bringing cross-app functionalities such as extracting YouTube information for saving in Notes.
A revamped version of Samsung’s voice assistant Bixby is also expected this time. The company teased a “true AI companion” last week, which fans expect to be an AI-powered Bixby. It was also introduced in China last year with the launch of the Galaxy W25 series.
More devices on the horizon
In addition to smartphones, Samsung is expected to unveil other innovative devices during the event. The Galaxy Ring 2, the second generation of Samsung’s health-monitoring smart ring, is rumoured to feature improved sensors and extended battery life.
Samsung may also officially launch the “Project Moohan” XR headset, built on Google’s Android XR platform. The headset is expected to include high-resolution displays and multi-modal input support for immersive experiences.
Smart glasses could also make their debut, offering real-time translation, navigation assistance, and message summarisation, powered by Gemini AI.

The Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in San Jose, California, at 11.30 pm IST and can be livestreamed via the company’s official YouTube channel, its website and social media handles.
