I Am Your Beast is a fantastic, fast-paced FPS that rewards the player for efficient executions and quick thinking. On Thursday, Strange Scaffold released its second and final expansion, which is titled Cold Sweat. Cold Sweat is designed to be as challenging as possible for the speedrunners and master assassins, and it’s available for free.
These new levels aren’t canon, and they don’t fit into the overall narrative of Alphonse Harding and his guerilla battle against the Covert Operations Initiative, contained to his home turf of a dense forest connected by a series of tunnels. Cold Sweat is much more surreal and otherworldly, with terrain floating eerily in the air, and a psychedelic snowman on ice skates. The nightmare themed levels are a nice match to the deadly difficulty; it’s a fitting farewell for I Am Your Beast.
Each level in I Am Your Beast starts with a timer that steadily ticks down, and is only refilled upon kills and objective completion. Particularly stylish maneuvers, like a string of headshots, or a well-placed explosive, can actually break the timer, letting players finish with a negative value. The game is currently on sale on Steam with a 30% off discount.
