Notably, banks in India observe several annual holidays, which include national holidays, state-specific festivals, and notable observances, as determined by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Banks in India will observe a closure of 16 days in April 2025, which includes public holidays and the mandatory weekly days off on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.
However, online banking services shall continue to be operational without any hindrance, enabling people to do online transactions, bill payments and other online services available on digital platforms.
