What are the free games on the Epic Games Store this week? Each week in 2025, Epic is giving away free games for you to own forever. These games are separate to the free-to-play games available on the store, and you only have one week to claim them.
Epic has given away over $10,000 worth of games since 2018, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to stop this any time soon. Epic free games April 17 – April 24
The free Epic games this week are:
- Botanicula
- Firestone – free goodies and an exclusive skin
Botanicula
This adorable adventure game from the team behind Machinarium sees five small tree creatures set out to save the last seed of their home tree from the evil parasites that have infested it. It’s a cute story game with puzzles to solve as you explore and progress by clicking your way through different areas of the tree, collecting cards and feathers, and interacting with other critters as you go.
Firestone
The fantasy idle battler is offering new and existing players free goodies for logging into Firestone through the Epic Games Store. New players need to reach stage 15 to claim the reward, but this is what’s on offer for those that do:
- An exclusive skin “The Legendary Hoplite” for hero Boris
- 2x Avatars for your character profile
- 10x Common chests, each containing at least 1 piece of Hero’s gear
- 5x Uncommon chests containing at least 1 Uncommon gear
- 10x Wooden chests with at least 1 piece of Hero’s jewels
- 5x Iron chests with at least 1 Uncommon jewel
- 360 Strange dust to train your Guardians or conduct Experiments
- 50x scrolls to enhance your stats in battles
- 35x Game tokens to test your luck at the Tavern
