FromSoftware announced via X on Tuesday that Elden Ring Nightreign will officially receive a two-player mode “at a later date.” This comes after director Junya Ishizaki admitted the developer “overlooked” a duos mode during development. The lack of two-player co-op has led to some frustration from players.

While Ishizaki had said the studio had been considering implementing duo support, players now have confirmation (though no set timeframe). It’ll be a relief to some Nightfarers, as three-player co-op has led to pairs awkwardly trying to find a third to join.
