Marvel Rivals system requirements

Marvel Rivals is quite simple to run, much like other hero shooters on the market. Better yet, even older laptops and desktop gaming PCs should have no issues meeting the Marvel Rivals system requirements and getting great performance out of the game.

You won’t need to buy the very best graphics card to meet the Marvel Rivals system requirements on PC, and good performance isn’t difficult to attain so long as you’re not also looking for the highest quality visuals. In fact, you can see how simple it is by following our best Marvel Rivals settings guide for PC and Steam Deck.

Here are the Marvel Rivals system requirements:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 or later Windows 10 or later
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
AMD Radeon RX 580
Intel Arc A380
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super
AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
Intel Arc A750
CPU Intel Core i5 6600K
AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
Intel Core i5 10400
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM 16GB 16GB
Storage 70GB 70GB

The Marvel Rivals minimum specs only require an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 as the initial barrier to entry, meaning that any card younger than six years old and more powerful than that old mid-range model will play the game smoothly. The specs also call for a 6th-gen Intel Skylake CPU, which is an even older generation of hardware, at nine years old.

Compared to most new releases, Marvel Rivals doesn’t demand a lot, although the 16GB RAM demand could push older laptops and PCs to their limits. Even now, some gaming laptops only come with 8GB of RAM, as well as some entry-level desktop PCs. Most will be upgradeable, though, so you can move up to 16GB relatively easily. If you do decide that’s an option, check out our guide to the best gaming RAM to find the best options for your setup.

Thanks in part to these low overall requirements, Marvel Rivals Steam Deck compatibility is rated as “playable.” That means Valve has confirmed the game works smoothly – as have we – but notes that some features are tricky to use, thanks to small text size, and that some functions require touchscreen interaction, rather than you being able to rely solely on the Steam Deck’s controls.

Moving onto the Marvel Rivals recommended specs, they’re a considerable jump up in demand, but considering the Nvidia RTX 2060 Super GPU is a lower mid-range graphics card from 2019, most modern gaming PCs and laptops shouldn’t have any issues meeting or surpassing this spec.

Marvel Rivals doesn’t need an SSD, but while you can install the game on a hard drive, you’ll want to use one of the best gaming SSD options to prevent longer loading times in the game and make your system feel snappier. The Samsung 990 Pro is a great choice if you have a PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot on your motherboard. You can find out more about this drive in our Samsung 990 Pro review.
