Kajol speaks about eight-hour work demand of female actresses
Frankly Speaking with Times Now Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar, Kajol put in her views on the new on-going demand of female actresses of not more than eight-hour work per day. She said, “I have, from the beginning of my career, done one shift and worked on one film at a time. So I never really had a problem with anybody telling me that ‘you must do this, you must do that’. But there are days when you have to work from 9 in the morning till 10 at night and there are days when its okay for you to work one shift and go home. You have to be flexible in that because its creative work and things happen and you need to stay back.”
Are we being unfair to the women who have young kids?
Being asked this question, Maa actress replied, “I have worked with my daughter being two and a half and my producers were fabulous with me and always gave me the time. I think as long as you talk to them, they do respect it and they do go out of their way for you.
Kajol’s work front
Kajol is currently making headlines with her recent release Maa. Directed by Vishal Furia, Maa is a Hindi mythological horror film that marks Kajol’s chilling debut in the genre. A sequel in the Shaitan’s Universe, the story follows a mother’s brave fight to protect her child from dark, supernatural forces. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jio Studios and hit the theatres on June 27.
