Who scored the best on Saturday? Is it Varun Dhawan, Allu Arjun, Kiccha Sudeep or Shah Rukh Khan-Mahesh Babu-dubbed animation drama? Read on to know more.
Stills from Pushpa 2, Baby John, Max
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King, Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, and Kiccha Sudeep’s Kannada actioner Max continue entertaining the audience. However, who’s leading the race is an interesting question, as Baby John, the last big Hindi film of 2024 is struggling at the box office. The mixed word of mouth hampered its chances at the box office.
Max continues to show significant growth, despite limited release. Mufasa (dubbed by Shah Rukh Khan and Mahesh Babu in Hindi and Telugu respectively) has jumped and earned more than Baby John on Saturday, but Pushpa 2 continues to RULE the box office.
Baby John box office collection
Varun Dhawan’s film opened on a decent note on December 25 but suffered a major drop in the collection on Thursday and Friday. However, the film showed a little growth on Saturday, but it is still not up to the mark. This shows that the audience rejected Baby John. On Saturday, Baby John earned Rs 4.25 crore, taking the 4-day total to Rs 23.9 crore.
Mufasa: The Lion King collection
Disney’s Mufasa has already crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in gross collection. On Saturday, the film performed better than Baby John, earning Rs 9.5 crores in India, totalling Rs 90 crores net.
Max box office collection
Kiccha Sudeep’s Max has already earned the highest opening weekend of Kannada cinema in 2024. The movie continues to show good growth after a slump on its second day. Despite a limited release, Max earned more than Baby John on Saturday. On Day 4 the film earned Rs 4.93 crores, taking the 4-day total to Rs 22.18 crores.
Pushpa 2 box office collection
As expected, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is still leading the race even after 25 days of its release. Among the movies mentioned above, Pushpa 2 has scored the biggest Saturday. Even after four weeks of release, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 12.50 crore in India, which includes Rs 10 crore from Hindi, and Rs 2.1 crore from Telugu languages. The 25-day total of Pushpa 2 stands at Rs 1141.35 crores in India.
Conclusion
Pushpa Raj is still leading the race and Baby John is clearly rejected by the audience. Mufasa will easily cross Rs 100-crore mark in India, and Max is a winner in Kannada.
