Mumbai Nowcast has also predicted extremely heavy rainfall from September 27 to 29 in Mumbai and nearby areas.

The India Meteorological Department said a fresh spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over Konkan and Goa and ghat areas of Central Maharashtra from September 25 to 29.
The inauguration of the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has been rescheduled to October 30. The Mumbai Metro 3 project will now be inaugurated on October 8, The Times of India reported. The development happened amid prediction of extremely heavy rains in Mumbai and nearby areas from September 27-29.
The report said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate both the projects.
