Wall Street Today: The US benchmark indices opened higher on Friday, 3 October 2025, as investors’ hopes emerged for a potential US Federal Reserve (Fed) interest rate cut later this month, reported the news agency Reuters.

The US Federal Reserve’s FOMC, in its last meeting, cut its key benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to its current level of 4.00% to 4.25%. The central bank aims to assess more data to determine if rates can be cut further.
