Manang: Vehicular movement has been restricted at night on Manang-Lamjung road till October 6 starting tonight.
The movement of vehicles on Manang-Lamjung road has been prohibited following the notice issued by Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s forecast about heavy rainfall till October 6 from today.
A notice issued by Chief District Officer at the District Administration Office, Nabaraj Paudel shared that vehicular movement would not be allowed along the road from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am.
Nepal Police, Nepali Army and rescue teams of local levels have been kept on standby as well as decision was made from the meeting of District Security Committee to make arrangement to mobilize them immediately.
The DAO requested all local levels, local-level disaster management committees, government bodies, private sector and non-governmental organisations to remain standby for necessary preparedness and response in accordance with approved monsoon action plan.
Paudel shared that all bodies concerned including general public have been urged to follow the directives of traffic police and security bodies to stay alert from possible risk of soil erosion, landslide and flood well as avoid travel unless it is an emergency.
