Team Orangutan celebrates at the BGMI Showdown 2025 grand finale in Hyderabad after clinching the championship title.

In a pulsating finale that had viewers on the edge of their seats, Team Orangutan stormed to victory at the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2025 held in Hyderabad, clinching the title, a ₹30 lakh prize, and a coveted berth at the Global Championship. The three-day event, packed with high-stakes clashes and nail-biting finishes, showcased the growing might of India’s esports scene.
K9 Esports fought hard to secure second place with a ₹15-lakh payout, while Team Soul finished third, winning ₹10 lakh. The top eight teams have now qualified for the BGMI International Cup (BMIC), where they will compete against elite squads from Korea and Japan, marking another milestone in India’s march into the global esports arena.
The tournament’s standout performers added flair to the finale. OnePlusK9Njboi was crowned the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, pocketing ₹2 lakh. Finals MVP honours went to M4xSNoWJoD, who also bagged the Best Clutch Award and ₹50,000. iQOOxOGAARU won Best In-Game Leader with a ₹75,000 reward for his tactical prowess, while GxdLJonaThan03 was named Fan Favourite Player, taking home ₹50,000.
Sixteen of India’s top BGMI teams had battled through qualifying rounds since September 18 to reach the grand finale in Hyderabad which played out in front of a live-studio audience and millions of viewers online.
