The establishment of a Google AI Data Centre in Visakhapatnam is set to be a game changer for Andhra Pradesh, particularly boosting the Information Technology sector, said Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Chairman ‘Dollars’ C. Divakar Reddy.

“Vizag will benefit from Google in the same way Hyderabad did following Microsoft’s arrival in the late 1990s,” he told reporters at a media conference on Friday.

Attributing the achievement to the foresight and initiative of the NDA’s ‘Double Engine’ government, he said the development once again underscored Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision and IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s proactive approach.

Mr. Divakar Reddy added that attracting an investment of ₹1.33 lakh crore in a single move could be considered ‘rewriting history,’ noting that the State’s educated and skilled youth are poised to benefit from this surge of investment.
