How to complete KYC for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana 21st instalment

The government has set November 19, 2025, as the date for the disbursement of the 21st instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana scheme, which will provide ₹2,000 to each qualified farmer family.

To receive the instalment, farmers need to complete the e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) and connect land and bank records before the payment in order to guarantee that the funds reach farmers easily.

Launched on February 24, 2019, the PM-KISAN Yojana is a Central Sector Scheme that offers each qualified farmer family annual cash assistance of ₹6,000.

Farmers must complete the e-KYC, have their bank account linked to their Aadhaar number, and have their land details recorded and seeded in the PM-KISAN portal in order to be eligible for future payments.

Three verification options are available through the flexible e-KYC process: (1) OTP-based using the Aadhaar-linked mobile number, (2) biometric authentication via CSC centres, and (3) face-authentication mode via mobile app.

Farmers can verify their beneficiary status by using the PM-KISAN mobile app or by visiting the “Farmers Corner” on the PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in).

Here’s a step-by-step guide to complete e-KYC:

Visit the ‘Farmers Corner’ section of the PM-KISAN webpage and enter your Aadhaar number.

Proceed to initiate the verification process if your e-KYC status is ‘No.’

Choose one of the three modes:

OTP: Enter the one-time password sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.

Biometric: Visit a Common Service Centre (CSC) to get fingerprint verification.

Face authentication: Use your registered mobile number to log in to the PM-KISAN (and Aadhaar Face RD) app, choose e-KYC, provide permission, and perform the face scan.

The status is updated—usually within a day—after a successful verification. Next, use the “Know Your Status” tool or the site to verify your beneficiary status.

The ‘Kisan-eMitra’ chatbot, which supports 11 Indian languages, assists farmers in checking status or filing complaints, providing extra assistance to those who are having issues. Additionally, farmers can open Aadhaar-based bank accounts through India Post Payments Bank or seek assistance at the closest Common Service Centre.

The government underlines that completing e-KYC is crucial to ensuring the future transfer is conducted smoothly, given that over 11 crore farmer families have already received over ₹3.70 lakh crore through the initiative.

Farmers can profit from the Kisan-eMitra portal in a number of ways, including access in preferred regional languages around the clock, such as Hindi, English, Tamil, Bengali, Odia, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu, Marathi, and Kannada, hence overcoming language and technological hurdles. Farmers can communicate in their preferred language, obtain information about their payments, and check the status of their application.
