Nvidia is giving away a free, Battlefield 6-themed RTX 5090 worth $2,000, and all you need to do is grovel

Mega giveaways on top gaming tech often require you to put in some effort for your entry. Answer a question correctly, send in a ridiculous gameplay clip, post a pet pic, that kind of thing. But for Nvidia‘s latest giveaway – which puts a Battlefield 6-wrapped GeForce RTX 5090 on the line – things are far easier.

Nvidia’s been getting pretty cozy with Battlefield 6 since it launched. It’s been trumpeting proudly about the FPS game’s support for Nvidia DLSS upscaling, multi-frame gen tech, and graphical prowess on Nvidia cards. Battlefield 6 screenshots and footage is appearing on almost every promo post at the minute. You can even grab a free, black and green sniper skin by logging into the Nvidia app. However, that freebie pales in comparison to this GPU giveaway.

The best graphics card by far if you’re after 4K gaming, the RTX 5090 can handle anything. Throw any game at it, crank up the settings, and it’ll make it shine while still keeping frame rates high. It’s a beast that the vast majority of PC gamers would be desperate to add to their rig – a $2,000 dollar beast, at that. The opportunity to bag one for free, then, is one you simply can’t miss.

Nvidia recently gave away a similar, Battlefield 6-themed 5090, but that required you to submit a clip of your “most exciting” moment in the new shooter. This time, however, you don’t need to step foot in BF6 at all. Instead, you need to turn your trigger fingers into Twitter fingers, as a certain Canadian rapper once proclaimed.

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning a free RTX 5090 is head to this post on Nvidia’s X page, and leave a reply. The only rules are that your comment must say “GeForce Season” and explain “why you deserve this Holiday upgrade.” So, the best groveling (or sob story about an ageing, underperforming rig) should win here.

The only difference between this RTX 5090 and any other (aside from the $2,000 price difference) is that wrap featuring the Battlefield 6 key art. It’s not the most imaginative custom GPU I’ve ever seen, but that’s like complaining about how ‘someone’s already taken the number plate I want for my Ferrari’ – shut up and enjoy your Ferrari, man.

Nvidia hasn’t given a specific date for when a winner will be chosen, so be rapid and go and leave your comment while you’ve got a chance. Good luck!
