Time is of the essence in The Blood of Dawnwalker – you only have 30 days to save your family, after all. But that doesn’t mean that Coen can’t develop some relationships along the way. And you can even get romantically involved with some of the allies you pick up on your journey to Brencis.

You don’t have to romance anyone you meet in The Blood of Dawnwalker, but it can serve as a small pocket of humanity in what turns out to be a landscape of horrors. If you aren’t grinding to unlock the Mandrake Ward and you’ve already found the Blasphemy banner, maybe it’s time to figure out who you’ve got your eye on, romantically.

Who can you romance in Blood of Dawnwalker?

There are three characters that Coen can become romantically involved with in Blood of Dawnwalker, and they are:

It’s hinted at very early on that Coen and Anca already have a budding relationship – you can even hang out after picking up the herbs for your mother, although it feels like there might be more pressing things to do at the time.

Lacra is a bloodthirsty partner, and you’ll have to get comfortable with death in order to not stand in her way. The relationship begins on firm professional ground, but can develop later on.

Crake is the leader of the Manumits, and meeting him for the first time ends up with you being tied to a tree. After raising your infamy, you can get in with his organization, and eventually get close to Crake himself.

You can romance each of these characters during the same playthrough – getting together with one doesn’t lock you out of approaching the others, so it’s down to you and what you want from your companions.

How do you romance characters in Blood of Dawnwalker?

Although each character is very different, the method for romancing each remains fairly straightforward: follow their questline, be nice to them, and take the romance option when it comes up. You don’t have to be romantically involved with these characters for them to remain allied with Coen post-Brencis; it’s more of a narrative choice.

Now you know who you can romance in Blood of Dawnwalker, it’s up to you what you want to do and what kind of relationships you want. While you decide, check out our guide on the Font of Life perk so you can stay alive with ease when the sun’s out.
