How to capture towers in Wardogs
At the beginning of each game, there will be several unclaimed towers in the zone. These are great vantage points for your sharpshooters and can offer key insertion points for your team to build a base around. Did you know, however, that they also act as a magnet for the hot zone?
To capture a tower, head up the stairs and into the control room – this is on the mid-level of the building – and approach the computer to the left of a keypad. Interact with this computer to hack the tower and claim it for your team. Note that all towers have a cooldown at the beginning of a match and when they change hands, so you may have to hold out for a few minutes if it’s in a hotly contested zone.
What do Wardogs towers do?
Aside from being a focal point for your team, Wardogs towers can be used to pull the hot zone to your team. Every time you take a tower, you’re given a piece of a code; once you have the complete code, enter it on the keypad to the right of the main terminal. This will activate the hot zone magnet, pulling the area towards the tower.
Getting all digits of the code is a tricky affair, but once you have three out of the four, for instance, you can guess what the last one might be. Use the hot zone magnet to consolidate your lead or turn the tide of a difficult match.
