Asian Paints Q4 Results: Asian Paints reported a 45% decline in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ending March 31, 2025, amounting to 692.13 crore, compared to 1,256.72 crore in the same period last year. Sequentially, the consolidated net profit dropped 37.7% from 1, 11 0.48 crore in Q3FY25.

The company’s consolidated revenue from operations stood at 8,35 8.91 crores during the quarter ended March from 8,730.76 crore in Q4FY24, a year-on-year fall of 4.3%. Sequentially, the growth was down by 2.2% from 8,549.44 crore in Q3FY25.

Profit before depreciation, interest, tax, other income, and exceptional items (PBDIT) decreased by 15% to 1,436 crore in Q4FY25, down from 1,691 crore in the same quarter last year. The PBDIT margin as a percentage of net sales fell to 17.2%, down from 19.4% year-over-year.

Amit Syngle, MD and CEO of Asian Paints, mentioned that the ongoing weak demand conditions that have been present for several quarters continued to impact the paint industry in the last quarter of the financial year.

The demand for decorative coatings was only slightly improved compared to the third quarter.

Additionally, the board has proposed a final dividend of 20.55 per share for the financial year 2025, pending approval from shareholders. The company has set June 10 as the record date to ascertain the shareholders’ eligibility for this dividend.

In the Decorative Business segment in India, volume growth reached 1.8%, but revenue fell by 5.2% in Q4FY25. The segment’s performance was impacted by subdued demand, weak consumer sentiment, downtrading, and increased competition.

The industrial segment experienced a 6% revenue increase in Q4FY25, driven by robust performance in the General Industrial and Automotive coatings sectors. The home décor category continued to face challenges due to a decrease in household disposable income.

While all home décor segments gained from synergies with the Beautiful Homes store network, the progress was not as strong as anticipated.

In the international segment, revenue dropped by 1.5% as a result of macroeconomic difficulties in Africa. Nevertheless, key markets in the Middle East and Asia showed strong performance. On a constant currency basis, the international portfolio experienced a 6% increase during the quarter.

Asian Paints share price today closed 1.29% lower at 2,302.50 apiece on the BSE, the stock touched an intraday low of 2,293.25 per share, and an intraday high of 2,349.

Anshul Jain, Head of Research at Lakshmishree Investments said that Asian Paints share price witnessed a failed breakout around 2,418 and is now trading below its 50-day moving average. The last key support lies at 2,290; a close below this level may trigger a decline towards the range low of 2,186. Conversely, if bulls manage to defend the 2,290 level, a technical rebound toward 2,450 is likely. Asian Paints share price remains at a critical juncture, and the next move will be dictated by price action near support.
