The best world seeds in Anno 117: Pax Romana are usually the ones that drop you on the largest starting island with the best fertilities, close to traders and away from annoying raiders. What’s even more annoying than raiders, however, is having to search for the perfect seed yourself. Luckily, that’s no longer necessary.
Here’s a selection of the best seeds in Anno 117: Pax Romana we’ve found.
How to use world seeds in Anno 117: Pax Romana
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, maps in endless mode are semi-randomly generated. Although the general layout is similar for each map type (such as “archipelago” and “atoll”), the islands will spawn in different locations with varying island fertilities. Your starting island, too, is randomized.
By using a world seed, you will always get the same map layout (same islands, fertilities, and spawn point) connected to that seed. To use a world seed, create a new game of Anno 117: Pax Romana, choose a difficulty, click “edit,” then “game world,” and enter the seed number after “world seed.”
On the same setup page, you can select the map layout:
- Archipelago: Players spawn on one of four large islands in the middle of the map. You’ll find smaller islands on the outskirts of the map.
- Atoll: Players spawn on large islands at the border of the map. They’re still surrounded by smaller isles, but the middle part of the map is just open sea.
- Rift: Islands are pushed to the borders even more than on the atoll map. Maps are split between an eastern and western hemisphere, with two players spawning in each hemisphere.
- Corners: Every player spawns in a corner surrounded by smaller isles.
- Island Chain: All islands are concentrated in one densely packed island chain running from north to south.
Eager to find the best Anno 117 maps? The list below shows the best world seeds we’ve found so far. While every seed was tested on advanced difficulty and uses the default settings, it’s important to select the same map layout and map region, otherwise you’ll spawn on a different map. For each seed, the starting island has been marked with a star.
Best Latium archipelago seed in Anno 117: Pax Romana
- World seed: 9247
- Map: Latium
- Map layout: Archipelago
An Archipelago game always starts on one of four extra large islands in the middle of the map. Use this Anno 117 seed, and you’ll be sure to get the largest island on the map. There’s a trade partner nearby in the east (Diana), who requests pigs, providing you with an excellent money-making opportunity that merely requires a tier 2 resource. To reach residential tier 3, there are islands with resin and olive fertility to the north and east. But whereas the competition in the north is surrounded by almost nothing but resin and olive islands, you will also find sandarac, marble, and minerals directly south of your starting island. This map is also great for warmongering, as you can use the cliff in the northeastern corner of your isle to place your villa. Good luck capturing that!
Best Albion archipelago seed in Anno 117: Pax Romana
- World seed: 2492
- Map: Albion
- Map layout: Archipelago
On Albion’s version of the archipelago map, the two traders spawn in the south while raider Voada has a chance of spawning in the north. With this seed, Voada doesn’t spawn, and you’ll get a relatively big island in the south, situated nicely near both traders. Not only will you have plenty of trees, open space, and marshes on your starting island, but you’ll also spawn close to a relatively large “small” island with copper, tin, and granite fertility (first island to the southwest). It has six mountain slots and plenty of marsh slots to boot. Although the southern starting isle on Albion’s archipelago map is always surrounded by slightly smaller isles compared to the northern starting isle, this seed grants a far bigger and better selection of tiny isles than usual.
Best atoll seed in Anno 117: Pax Romana
- World seed: 2687
- Map: Latium
- Map layout: Atoll
It’s safer to spawn far from the raider in the east and close to the trader in the north, so the northwest island is usually the best place to spawn on an atoll map. That said, this atoll seed is especially good as you also spawn next to an isle with sandarac, minerals, and gold ore — nearby for you, but out of reach for the competition. If you’re quick, you can claim the largest unclaimed island directly to the east and saddle your eastern neighbor with a resin and olive shortage.
Best rift seed in Anno 117: Pax Romana
- World seed: 9549
- Map: Albion
- Map layout: Rift
Although it seems better to spawn on the eastern hemisphere, away from the raider who always spawns in the west on the “rift” map type, the southwestern spawn point provided in this world seed is actually better. Whereas the leaders in the east can compete over a bunch of tiny isles, your northern neighbor may keep themselves busy with the raider while you claim the three largest unclaimed islands in the southwest. The only fertility you won’t have next door is saltwort.
Best corners seed in Anno 117: Pax Romana
- World seed: 7239
- Map: Albion
- Map layout: Corners
The “corners” map type is the ultimate equalizer; every player spawns just as close to the raider in the middle as the others, and the distance to the nearest trader is also the same. So, to gain the upper hand, it’s useful to spawn on an island with the best (nearby) fertilities and relatively large neighboring isles. Unlike the leaders in the west and south, who lack silver and tin respectively, this corners map seed provides you with every type of ore deposit right from the start. On top of that, you get dye plant fertility on your first island, allowing you to make trousers and sell them to the Whitecliff trader, who happens to be your closest neighbor.
Best island chain seed in Anno 117: Pax Romana
- World seed: 8909
- Map: Latium
- Map layout: Island chain
Since island chain maps tend to spawn the raiders in the north and plenty of large, fertile islands in the south, it’s best to get the southernmost large isle as your spawn point. Using this Anno 117 seed ensures that this optimal position is given to you instead of your rivals. You’ll be surrounded by massive islands with resin and olive fertility and even one with gold fertility in the west. Also, handy; you’re the closest player to trader Diana.
