Fenerbahce’s post-season reshuffling continues following a trophyless campaign and the loss of the Super Lig title to rivals Galatasaray. Serbian winger Filip Kostic is the latest name to part ways with the club.

The Istanbul-based club officially notified the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) that Kostic’s loan contract—originally set to expire on June 30, 2025—has been mutually terminated.

Kostic follows veteran stars Edin Dzeko and Dusan Tadic in leaving the team, as Fenerbahce looks to rebuild under continued pressure from its fan base and boardroom uncertainties.

Farewell message after final match

Following Fenerbahce’s 2–1 win against Konyaspor in the final week of the Super Lig season, Kostic appeared to signal his departure.

“The season is over, and in the end, we are all disappointed. I came to Fenerbahce to win the title,” said the 32-year-old. “Being part of this club and team has made me happy. It was an incredible experience to play in front of the Fenerbahce fans. I understand their frustration—we share that disappointment.”

He added: “I truly hope Fenerbahce wins the title next year; they deserve it. I wish the club all the best. I will return to Juventus and prepare for the World Cup in the next two weeks. I felt proud and happy to be part of this club. I hope I was able to bring joy to the fans.”
