Near the beginning of Chapter 3, Carnivale, you will stumble upon a big electrical device with many buttons. This happens after you’ve found the gnome, collected the lightbulb, and taken the elevator up.
If you play as Alone, you can hit the large button with your wrench, which will activate the device and prompt Low (if playing with a CPU companion) to shoot the smaller buttons. However, nothing will happen.
If you play as Low, Alone will not hit the large button even if you ask her. In both cases, you’re missing one essential item: the clue.
To reveal the solution to the Little Nightmares 3 button puzzle, grab the handle on the large print, located on the right side of the room. It’ll reveal a note with white and black buttons.
If you’re playing as Alone with a CPU companion, all you need to do next is hit the large button with your wrench. CPU Low will hit the correct buttons automatically.
However, if you or a friend are playing as Low, he must wait for Alone to hit the large button, then shoot arrows at the smaller buttons whenever their little light bulb lights up. Beware that Low must only hit the black buttons as marked in the note.
