You’ll need to test your knowledge of the moons and planets above, but, as you’re an Earthling in the real-world, The Outer Worlds 2‘s space system might not be second-hand knowledge.

Here’s how to solve the Order Initiate Scavenger Hunt riddle in The Outer Worlds 2, and where to find the code.

Where to find the Order Initiate Scavenger Hunt riddle in the Outer Worlds 2

Near the entrance of the main building and before you meet Seer Wiley, you’ll find a terminal that requires a three-digit code.

In case you want only a bit of help to solve this puzzle, here’s what you need to do. Beside the terminal, there is a device that explains that the riddle can be solved by looking at the orrery, which is a model of a Solar System, in front of the observatory. To find the code, you’ll need to look for the following information:

  1. The number of moons that orbit Elysium.
  2. The number of moons that orbit between Dorado and Elysium.
  3. The number of times Eden orbits Elysium before Praetor and Cloister complete a single rotation.

In order to identify Elysium, Dorado, Preator, and Cloister, you’ll need to look around the observatory and learn more about what each planet and moon looks like. However, as this can take a bit of time, we’ve prepared an image to help you identify the planets and moons:

Using the hints and image above, you can now observe the orrery to discover the code.

As fun as observing the orrery is, it can be a bit difficult to find the solution. If you’d like to cut your time at the observatory a bit short and just want the solution to the Order Initiate Scavenger Hunt riddle, return to the terminal and input the code: 4-1-4.
