Himachal Pradesh University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahavir Singh has directed officials to make the university’s official website more dynamic and informative, ensuring that all future activities and programs are regularly updated online.
Addressing the university’s non-teaching staff, the VC emphasised the need for collective effort and dedication to drive the institution’s progress. “To achieve comprehensive development, all staff must work together with commitment. Temporarily setting aside personal issues and prioritising university work is crucial for smooth functioning,” he urged.
Prof Singh described students, faculty, and staff as the three foundational pillars of the university, stressing that their unity and collaboration are vital for restoring HPU’s former glory. He announced plans to personally visit each office, gather information, and initiate modernisation efforts aimed at improving convenience and efficiency for both employees and students.
He also highlighted the pressing need for the university to focus more on research projects and publications. To boost external institutional support, he said he would personally seek feedback on these initiatives.
The Vice-Chancellor further instructed all departments to clear pending work, particularly tasks approaching deadlines, so that student-related development activities can be accelerated. He also emphasised the importance of timely execution to avoid bottlenecks in institutional growth.
Assuring the staff of his commitment to their welfare, Prof. Singh said their concerns would be addressed through coordinated efforts at both the university and government levels. “The development of the university and the well-being of its employees will go hand-in-hand,” he concluded.
