Sunjay Kapur Wealth Inheritance: Recently, Sunjay’s sister, Mandhira Kapur also claimed that her mother was forced to sign legal papers by several people, including Kapur’s wife

Karisma Kapoor’s children claim stepmother Priya Sachdev forged Sunjay Kapur’s will.
Sunjay Kapur Wealth Inheritance: Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have moved the Delhi High Court to demand a share in the assets of their late father, Sunjay Kapur. In the suit that the two children filed, they claimed that their stepmother, Priya Sachdev, forged Sunjay’s will. The Plaintiffs submit that the purported will allegedly executed by their father is not a legal and valid document, is forged and fabricated.
They argued that it is because of this reason that neither the original of the Alleged Purported Will has been shown to them nor a copy of the Alleged Purported Will has been provided. The children, therefore, requested the court to provide them with a copy of the said document.
Besides this, Karisma Kapoor’s children also requested the court to restrain Priya Sachdev from executing the will till the time the issue is resolved.
Fight Over Sunjay Kapur’s Wealth
Following Sunjay Kapur’s death in London on June 12, 2025, new developments have emerged regarding a Rs 30,000 crore inheritance dispute. A few days ago, a Dainik Jagran report suggested that Karisma may be exploring legal options to claim a share of her former husband’s estate.
Adding another twist to the ongoing estate conversation, Safira, the daughter of Sunjay’s third wife, Priya Sachdev, has reportedly dropped her surname ‘Chatwal’ and adopted ‘Kapur’. Industry observers believe the change may not be merely symbolic but a strategic move, potentially aimed at strengthening her stake in the inheritance.
Sunjay Kapur’s Sister Also Slammed Priya Sachdev
Recently, Sunjay’s sister, Mandhira Kapur, also claimed that her mother was forced to sign legal papers by several people, including Kapur’s wife, Priya Sachdev. “What papers are they not showing us that they’d gotten signed in this 13-day period that they’ve taken over? My mother was made to sign papers behind locked doors. And this wasn’t once, but twice,” she told Republic and then added, “I was standing at the door banging on it. She was grieving.”
Mandhira continued by saying, “There were two doors, actually — a door inside and a door outside. So she couldn’t hear me. The bottom line is she signed some papers during the mourning period. She was in deep grief. She came to me and said, ‘I don’t know what papers I’ve signed. And since then, we’ve been asking and getting no response. So, what are you hiding from us? I think this will all unfold at some point, and the truth will come out.”
