The fourth round gets underway today at Roland Garros, with Aryna Sabalenka, Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek all looking to seal their place in the quarter-finals.
16:33 CET – Iga Swiatek has survived the sternest of tests from Elena Rybakina, progressing into the Roland Garros quarter-finals and keeping her winning streak alive with a thrilling 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory.
The defending champion was obliterated off the court in the opening set by a ruthless Rybakina, but Swiatek’s level began to rise and Rybakina’s began to dip. After a nip and tuck final set, the four-time champion eventually found the break and served out to clinch a superb win.
She will face Elina Svitolina next.

16:19 CET – Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng has moved into the French Open quarter-finals for the very first time, outlasting Liudmila Samsonova in a superb contest 7-6(5), 1-6, 6-3. The Chinese star was pushed to the limit by her Russian opponent, but she had just about enough to come out on top.
She will face the winner of Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova, who are on Suzanne-Lenglen next.
13:40 CET – Elina Svitolina has continued her superb clay-court form, saving three match points in the second set to outlast fourth seed Jasmine Paolini in a fourth-round thriller.
The Ukrainian came out on top 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, and will face either defending champion Iga Swiatek or Elena Rybakina in the quarter-finals.
13:12 CET – Tommy Paul is the first man through to the quarter-finals in the French capital, with the American 12th seed easing past Alexei Popyrin in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.
09:58 CET – We’re just over an hour away from play getting started in Paris this morning, as Jasmine Paolini takes on Elina Svitolina and Tommy Paul comes up against Alexei Popyrin.
Later on, defending women’s champion Iga Swiatek faces a blockbuster clash against Elena Rybakina, while Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka and Qinwen Zheng also take to the court.
