The best M15 Mod 0 loadout may seem familiar to longtime Call of Duty players, because this gun is, for all intents and purposes, in pretty much every single game. It’s the first assault rifle in Black Ops 7 so it’s unlocked by default — just like the Ryden 45K. The M15 Mod 0 is always the same: fully automatic, jack-of-all-trades, doesn’t excel in any one specific area but always has reliable accuracy, damage, and fire rate.
This means it’s essentially a blank canvas for you to modify however you like with attachments, but as always, the meta dictates a certain playstyle and we’re here to help. Here’s the best M15 Mod 0 loadout in Black Ops 7 and the build code so you can import it directly into your game.
Best M15 Mod 0 loadout in Black Ops 7
Here’s the best M15 Mod 0 loadout in Black Ops 7:
- Optic: EMT3 Holo Mk.2
- Muzzle: Redwell 5.56 Compensator
- Barrel: 18″ Bowen Watchtower Barrel
- Underbarrel: EAM Steady-90 Grip
- Rear Grip: Caravan-H2 Grip
- Stock: Bowen Linchpin Stock
- Laser: 3mw Motion Strike Laser
- Fire Mods: MFS 5.56 Nato FMJ
Build code: A01-21XQS-JBQUF-AW11
The first thing to keep in mind here is that we’re using the Gunfighter wildcard, which allows for an extra three attachments on your primary weapon. If you haven’t reached level 29 and unlocked it, you should drop the underbarrel, laser, and fire mod attachments from this build.
As a fully automatic assault rifle, you want to turn the M15 Mod 0 into a laser beam, which means you’ll want to improve its accuracy. This gun has pretty bad vertical recoil, but the horizontal recoil is much more manageable. So, we’ve opted for the Redwell 5.56 Compensator due to its improvement in that area, alongside the Caravan-H2 Grip for the same reason. Then, we have the Bowen Linchpin Stock, which buffs both vertical and horizontal recoil, and the EAM Steady-90 Grip combines horizontal recoil control with improved movement speed. We’ve also picked one of the optical sights we think is best — the EMT3 Holo Mk. 2 — but that is also mostly down to personal preference, so pick whichever you like here.
For those gunfights at long range, the 18″ Bowen Watchtower Barrel is the best option by far. It adds a serious damage buff, and while you may be tempted by the 16.5″ Fusion Barrel due to its bullet velocity increase too, most Black Ops 7 maps aren’t big enough for bullet velocity to have much of an effect, so it’s much more geared towards Warzone. We also have the Motion Strike Laser to buff the damage range and recoil overall — just be aware the laser is visible to enemies when you’re aiming down the sights. If you’re concerned about that, switch it out for the Mayday Extended Mag in the magazine slot.
Finally, since this is the overall best loadout for the M15 Mod 0, we’ve picked the MFS 5.56 Nato FMJ fire mod. There’s just one caveat: this is a prestige attachment. So while it’s a fantastic inclusion, buffing damage range, penetration damage, flinch, and ensuring you don’t show up on enemy minimaps when shooting, it’ll take a while to unlock. Pick the Buffer Spring fire mod if you haven’t got this one yet, as you won’t be there for a little while.
Best M15 Mod 0 class in Black Ops 7
Here’s the best class to use alongside the M15 Mod 0 in Black Ops 7:
- Wildcard: Gunfighter
- Pistol: Coda 9
- Melee: Knife
- Field Upgrade: Drone Pod
- Tactical: Flashbang
- Lethal: Frag
- Perk 1: Flak Jacket
- Perk 2: Tech Mask
- Perk 3: Bankroll
Since your primary is kitted out for long-range engagements, you need a reliable sidearm you can switch to when up close, which the Coda 9 is perfect for. Meanwhile, the Drone Pod is a fantastic field upgrade because, while it’s unlikely to kill enemies for you, it’s a hell of a distraction. I’m also a huge fan of the traditional grenade options in Call of Duty, and you can never go wrong with a flashbang and frag grenade. Especially since you’ll likely be playing slower with this loadout, and some of the other options are far more situational, whereas these two can be used whenever.
Playing slower and posting up behind vantage points means you’re likely to have grenades thrown at you regularly, but since you’re not using a Trophy System here (although that would be my second choice in lieu of the Drone Pod), you need protection from those incoming throwables. Flak Jacket and Tech Mask (note: not Tac Mask anymore) are perfect for this. Combine them with a red perk — Bankroll is my choice to help you net some powerful scorestreaks sooner — and you’ll earn the Tactician specialty, which means any assists you get then reward bonus score from bullet kills for the following 10 seconds, making this a great class to use if you want to use those hard-to-earn scorestreaks.
