This imposing Star Wars-themed gaming PC build oozes Imperial majesty

Given the range of material available, I’ve actually not seen many Star Wars gaming PC builds out in the real world. That’s why I was intrigued by this incredible rig from Europe. It doesn’t feature any overt Star Wars iconography, beyond its use of the iconic font on a single sticker, but the design and colors give you no doubt about its majestic (and some might say Imperial) sympathies.

This PC build is an imposing one, weighing 154lbs inside a Corsair Obsidian PC case, with a careful array of cooling tubes containing bold red coolant, which sit in neat contrast to the harsh white LED fans. This is a gaming PC with some serious power behind it, too, using the best graphics card of the last generation in the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, alongside a 24-core Intel Core i9 13900KS gaming CPU.

This build caught my eye in a post on builds.gg, with builders Extreme Hardware explaining (using plenty of Star Wars puns) that this “Super-Class destroyer among PCs” was built to replace a modest gaming laptop. The color contrast in this EXECUTOR build (the all-caps name seems particularly valid here) is the first part that pops out to you, alongside the sheer amount of cooling inside – I count no fewer than 16 fans, all in striking white.

Meanwhile, the perfectly shaped hard water-cooling tubes, filled with blood red coolant, sneak around the case with precision between the radiators, waterblocks, and pumps, with the Asus ROG Strix RTX 4090 graphics card and the Intel Core i9 13900KS CPU kept icy cool as a result.

Both the CPU and graphics card are overclocked, too, but thanks to the cooling system, the GPU “rarely exceeds” 49°C (120°F), even under full load, with the CPU posing “no challenge” to the setup.

This build manages to hit all of the right spots for me. It hasn’t gone heavily into iconography or relied on heavy cliches to ram its theme home. Instead, it manages to speak for itself using a mostly two-tone color scheme, along with some seriously powerful parts, with only the sticker on the power supply truly giving the game away.

Sci-fi fan or not, this seriously impressive gaming PC would look great on any desk – Palpatine himself would be proud, as long as it was built in time.
