Indian travel brand Go Homestays has officially cut ties with Turkish Airlines, accusing it of being linked to a nation unfriendly towards India.

In a post shared on X, the company wrote, “We are officially ending our partnership with Turkish Airlines due to their unsupportive stance towards India. Going forward, we will no longer include their flights in our international travel packages. Jai Hind.”

This move comes just a day after India carried out military strikes on Pakistan territory as part of ‘Operation Sindoor’, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 Indian tourists.

After the operation, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed solidarity with Pakistan as tensions between India and Pakistan escalated.

This added fuel to the anger already brewing on Indian social media, where users began calling for the removal of Turkish and Azerbaijani travel listings from Indian platforms.

Many praised Go Homestays for taking a stand. Others urged top travel sites like MakeMyTrip, Yatra, EaseMyTrip and Goibibo to follow suit.
