The level cap in The Outer Worlds 2 is the highest level your character can reach. What is the level cap in The Outer Worlds 2?
The highest level you can reach in The Outer Worlds 2 is level 30.
This may seem a bit low, but there’s a good chance you might still be below level 30 when you finish the game. If you’d like to get as close to the max level as you can, be sure to pick up as many side quests as you can, such as “Arbitrary Measures” or “In Pursuit of Purloined Propaganda,” both of which are easy to miss.
How does the level cap affect skills and perks?
As you gain skill and perk points by leveling up, the level cap limits the number of skill points and perk points you can acquire in The Outer Worlds 2. You start with four skill points (plus two if you pick the “Brilliant” trait) and gain two skill points per level, which means you’ll have a maximum of 62-64 skill points when you hit the level cap.
The skill cap in The Outer Worlds 2 is level 20, so you can level three skills to their maximum and have two points to spare if you obtain 62 points. Of course, you can also divide those points over more skills, but since you won’t be able to reach max level on every skill, it’s best to pick a few skills to level first.
