A young woman’s father accidentally killed her pet hamster, but instead of breaking the news normally, her dad made an AI video where the hamster itself announced its passing.

Dad jokes are meant to be funny, but sometimes they cross the line and leave people confused. Something similar happened when a young woman’s father accidentally killed her pet hamster, Mr. Alexander the Great. Instead of breaking the news normally, her dad made an AI video where the hamster itself announced its passing. She explained that the rodent had escaped from its cage, wandered around the house and began exploring the dishwasher, ‘Like it was Narnia.’
Sadly, her father, not knowing the hamster was inside, switched on the machine, leading to the pet’s death.
Hamster’s Death Turns Into A Bizarre Dad Joke
Taking to Instagram, the girl wrote, “MY DAD DISHWASHED MY HAMSTER Apparently, little Mr. Alexander had escaped his cage and decided to go full explorer mode. Found the dishwasher door open. Went inside. Like it was Narnia. RIP, Mr. Alexander the Great. You died doing what you loved: being somewhere you absolutely shouldn’t have been. My dad told me with a F**CKING AI TALKING HAMSTER.”
In the AI video, the father went a step further by showing the hamster as a real warrior. He dressed the animated version of Mr Alexander the Great with a protective helmet, a sword in hand and a robe, making it look like the pet was giving a heroic farewell speech. In the clip, the hamster could be heard saying, “Sorry I died, I went to explore what was inside the dishwasher and your dad didn’t see me. Cantina.”
Social Media Users React With Humour And Sarcasm
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “He died as a noble man.”
Another shared, “They always die in epic battles as it seems lol.”
“It was a clean death, he left this world pure of heart and dirt,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “Hamster died in battle. He’s now 8n Vahalla, sitting next to Odin.”
Another mentioned, Dad of the year.”
One more added, “He is in HEAVEN I SAW HIM there.”
At the end of the clip, the word Cantina suggests that the AI video was most likely created using Cantina AI, which is used to make such digital animations.
