John Abraham has been actively promoting Harshvardhan Rane’s romantic thriller Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. The actor recently called the film a ‘hit’ while urging fans to watch it.

John Abraham is leaving no stone unturned in promoting Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. From urging fans online to watch the film to hitting the Mumbai streets with Rane to promote the film, the star is going all out to support the team.
In a recently surfaced video, John is once again seen urging a fan to watch the movie. The video starts with a man walking down the street holding the film’s poster in hand. John stops him and engages in a light-hearted conversation. The man asks him, “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was supposed to release in theatres on October 21. When is it going to be released now?”
Calling the romantic thriller a hit, John quips, “Ye to 21st ko release bhi ho gayi aur hit ho bhi gayi. Hit hai. Hit hai jakar dekho isse. (It has already been released in theatres and is a hit. The film is a hit, and you should go and watch it.)”
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat: Storyline And Cast
Directed by filmmaker Milaap Zaveri, the romantic drama depicts the story of a passionate artist, Vikramaditya (played by Harshvardhan Rane), who falls in love with Adaa (played by Sonam Bajwa), a free-spirited woman who believes love is freedom and not possession. Their relationship starts as a passionate affair, but Vikramaditya’s love soon turns into obsession.
Set against a backdrop of music, memories and heartbreak, the film explores the thin line between love and madness. Besides the lead pair, the film features Sachin Khedekar, Shaad Randhawa, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan in pivotal roles.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’s Box Office Collection
Released on October 21, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has been performing strongly at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the romantic thriller opened with Rs 9 crore on its first day, followed by an impressive Rs 7.75 crore and Rs 6 crore on the next two days. Despite a slight midweek dip, it bounced back over the weekend and earned Rs 6.25 crore and Rs 6.75 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
With Monday and Tuesday collections of Rs 3.5 crore and Rs 4.5 crore, respectively, the film’s total eight-day collection now stands at Rs 49.95 crore.
What’s Next For John Abraham?
On the work front, the handsome hunk is currently busy shooting for Rohit Shetty’s biopic on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. The actor also has Force 3 lined up in his upcoming slate.
