However, the latest box office monster, Chhaava, is doing the unthinkable with its mind-blowing performance at the ticket windows. Chhaava’s second weekend will be on par with the first weekend’s collections.
On its second Saturday, the historical action drama collected an exceptional Rs. 44 crores nett, the highest ever for any Bollywood film. In comparison, Chhaava made Rs. 39 crores net on its first Saturday. Till now, Stree 2 held the record for the all-time highest Hindi grosser on Second Saturday with Rs. 33 crores nett, but Chhaava surpassed it by a considerable margin. Chhaava’s unbelievable trending are leaving trade pundits stunned.
This box office destruction was possible because of Vicky Kaushal’s award-winning act and the film’s emotional resonance with the audience. Chhaava depicted the heroics of Chhatrapati Sambaji Maharaj in a touching manner, and people are leaving theatres heavy-hearted. To date, Chhaava has collected Rs. 293 crores nett in India, and it is all set to enter the coveted Rs. 300 crores club today.
