The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team will host San Marino today at 3:00 PM at the “Bilino Polje” stadium in Zenica, with a live broadcast on BHRT.
A maximum of six points at the start of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers is a dream start for the Bosnia and Herzegovina “A” national football team. There is no better opportunity to continue the winning streak than a home match in Zenica against San Marino.
Anything short of a sure victory in a match that will also mark Miralem Pjanić’s official farewell to the national team would be a huge disappointment.
The coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Sergej Barbarez, called for caution in a match in which the goal is to resolve the match as quickly as possible and score as many goals as possible.
Against the lowest-ranked team in the group, Barbarez plans to field the team in a 4-4-2 formation.
“We are now in a bigger role of favorites than we were against Cyprus. Until now, when we played against stronger players than us, we always had to orient ourselves to their game, and now we are clear favorites and we will try to play more dominantly,” Barbarez said at the press conference yesterday.
San Marino is the last-placed national team in the FIFA ranking, i.e. the 210th team in the world. The selection of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in 70th place.
The match Bosnia and Herzegovina – San Marino starts at 15:00, and at 14:00 on BHT1 a special show with guests starts.
Good luck, Dragons!
