The Epic Games Store is offering two great free PC games this week for Epic users. For a limited time, you can grab a horse racing sim and science-fiction crafting game.
Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition
Swap your glitzy Forza cars for horses in Rival Stars Horse Racing. Featuring both a story mode and online multiplayer, Rival Stars Horse Racing is all about the minutiae of horse riding and racing. Developer PikPok even used motion capture for the horses’ animations to make Rival Stars Horse Racing as realistic as possible. It also features a genetic breeding system and a Horse Creator to design your own horses. Animal lovers have enjoyed Rival Stars Horse Racing as it has over 3,500 Very Positive player reviews on Steam.
Breathedge
Try your best to survive outer space in Breathedge. You play as someone just called the Man who is “carrying his grandpa’s ashes to a galactic funeral and suddenly finds himself in the middle of a universal conspiracy,” according to the game’s official description. Space is dangerous, and you can suffer setbacks due to dying or because of depression. The stars are lonely when you’re stranded. When you’re not crafting items to help you survive, you can decorate your space station to distract yourself from the cold confines of space. A sequel is on the way this month, which makes sense as players really dug the first; Breathedge has almost 5,400 Mostly Positive player reviews on Steam.
