Moschip Technologies shares surged 10% during Friday’s trading session, extending their gains to 27% amid a two-day rally, following the GST reforms announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday evening. According to experts, the stock stands to gain from the reduction in the GST rate on electronics from 28% to 18%.

“This rally in the electronics share can be attributed to the GST reforms announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday evening. The stock benefits from the GST rate reduction from 28% to 18%,” said Seema Srivastava, Senior Research Analyst at SMC Global Securities.

Additionally, Moschip Technologies’ stock experienced an upswing after Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with leading executives from global semiconductor companies at SEMICON India 2025 on Wednesday, expressing their trust in India’s capability to become a centre for chip innovation and manufacturing. The meeting brought together notable representatives from the semiconductor sector.

As per reports, in a recent post on X, the Prime Minister stated,“Earlier today, I interacted with leading CEOs from the world of semiconductors during SEMICON India 2025. Their confidence in India’s potential is evident, and they are betting big on India as a global hub for semiconductor innovation and manufacturing. I talked about India’s relentless reform journey in this sector, which includes building robust infrastructure and emphasis on skilling as well as innovation.”

Global semiconductor manufacturers anticipate that India will significantly influence the industry’s future, supported by favourable policies and a skilled workforce.

SEMICON India 2025, which took place from September 2 to 4 in the capital, witnessed several important agreements made on the first two days, including Tata Electronics’ memorandum of understanding with Merck Electronics and C-DAC, as well as L&T Semicon’s collaborations with IIT Gandhinagar, C-DAC, and IISc Bangalore.

Moschip Technologies provides silicon and product engineering solutions, delivering design services for semiconductors, SoCs, IoT solutions, and AI/ML, in addition to product engineering and embedded system design.
