Blizzard has just released new Diablo 4 patch notes for the next Season 15 update, due to arrive in just a few days. The Season of Hell’s Legacy has largely been a winner, introducing a wide range of new features to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the demon-bashing RPGs. Having previously resolved bugs that were keeping some players away from battling the trio of returning Prime Evils, Blizzard’s latest update is relatively straightforward, suggesting that it’s pretty happy with the current state of things, at least barring news of any potential mid-season patch.

Almost everything in the next Diablo 4 update is bug fixes, although some will have small impacts on class balance. For example, Blizzard has resolved an exploit that allowed Druid’s Pulverize skill to “indefinitely immobilize” staggered bosses, potentially pulling any challenge out of fights. Elsewhere, it’s adjusted Sorcerer’s Incinerate Enchantment so that the burning damage correctly triggers runes as it should, which was previously faulty.

The patch also fixes cases where the damage reduction effect from the Sol Rune’s random shrine bonuses wasn’t actually activating as expected. Blizzard has addressed some instances where moving through areas too quickly could cause you to get stuck. One of these could break the seasonal questline for jumping into the Worldstone Chamber early, while the other blocked dungeon progression in Lester’s Farm, one of the new seasonal zones that’s a throwback to Diablo 1 expansion Hellfire.

Continuing the fixes, another reference to the first entry in the series, the Chamber of Bone, should now pay out its rewards more consistently. Henri’s Perquisition, a nod to the Diablo 3 Witch Doctor class, was not able to be crafted in the Horadric Cube; that’s also been corrected.

Blizzard says that Edge – one of the new Runeword crafts inspired by Diablo 2 – “allowed gaining two items at a time from the Purveyor of Curiosities.” That’s part of the item’s intended effect, however, so presumably this refers to a now-fixed way to get it to trigger more often than it was supposed to.

Rounding out the changes, Blizzard has stopped Diablo 2 returner Nihlathak from teleporting outside of his boss arena, made sure the Lore Runeword helm appears correctly on your character when equipped, and ensured pinned currency in the ‘Stats and Materials’ tab is being highlighted as expected.

Diablo 2 patch 3.2.2 will go live on Wednesday September 30, 2026. It’s possible Blizzard may introduce additional fixes or adjustments before the update is deployed, but for the time being it seems as though it’s pretty content with where the Season 15 meta is at.
