What are the best Black Ops 7 weapons? Year after year, the search for the next meta-defining laser beam begins. Month after month, patch after patch, a new hotness arrives that guarantees lightning-fast TTK, delivered with devastating accuracy. It should come as no surprise that Black Ops 7 continues the trend.
The Black Ops 7 beta is upon us, and the CoD team has already revealed all of the weapons you’ll be able to get your mitts on during the playtest. While they’re mostly brand new, some of the Black Ops 7 weapons share key similarities with the beamers currently tearing up our best Black Ops 6 weapons list. As such, it’s unsurprising that the best BO7 weapons available in the beta echo the top-tier tools of the trade you’re likely already used to in one of the best FPS games. We’ve also listed all of the weapons available in the beta, so you can find something more aligned with your own playstyle.

Best Black Ops 7 weapons
The best Black Ops 7 weapons available in the beta are the M8A1, Dravec 45, M15 Mod 0, M10 Breacher, and VS Recon.
What can we say about the M8A1? BO2 OGs will remember ripping it up with this now-Marksman Rifle, bursting down enemies like they were made of paper mache. Well, it’s back, and the four-round burst rifle is just as potent as it was in its previous life. Two-burst kills at range, one if you’re up close and know how to hit your target’s head; bosh. Of course, if your lobby’s full of movement demons and you’re struggling to hit a barn door, you may want to switch to a full-auto rifle for more consistent tracking.
Next up is the Dravec 45 SMG. The LC10 has been an absolute monster in BO6 due largely to its high range, and the Dravec 45 follows suit. The Dravec 45 can absolutely hold its own against ARs at mid-range, making it an incredibly versatile option.
The M15 Mod 0 is BO7’s XM4 equivalent. The classic all-rounder Assault Rifle has solid stats across the board, making it the perfect blank slate weapon to load up on attachments and frag out with. Even at stock, this thing is dead accurate, so make liberal use of it during your early levels. The MXR-17 may have better innate range and handling, but its “more modest” mobility and rate-of-fire is a potential deal-breaker. Likewise is the case with the Peacekeeper MK1’s “high recoil and limited range.”
The ASG-89 semi-auto shotgun has been a go-to for the rattiest of players, and while we initially thought the Echo 12’s weird hybrid of double-barrel and semi-auto would see it immediately locked in, the potency and effective range of the M10 Breacher has turned our heads completely. This shotgun has absolutely no right to deal as much damage as it does from across a room, so get ready to pump your enemies full of lead.
Finally, we’d recommend giving the VS Recon a spin. The SVG found its place at the top of the sniper charts in BO6 thanks to it being a high-powered semi-automatic weapon. While the VS Recon is a bolt-action, its rechamber is snappy enough that you can still get away with some solid quick-scoping on smaller maps. Big damage, big kill potential, get on it.
