Former Bayern Munich midfielder has quickly emerged and cemented himself as one of the brightest young midfielders in Europe. On a rollercoaster year for VfB Stuttgart, Stiller has been the consistent piece of a revolving puzzle, putting in performance after performance for the club. His talent was recognized by Julian Nagelsmann and has became a key piece of the German national team as well. Unfortunately for Nagelsmann, he will have to go without Stiller this time out.
The DFB reports that Angelo Stiller will miss the Nations League Final Four due to a lingering issue with his ankle, despite making an appearance in the DFB-Pokal. His DFB-Pokal victory was just one display of his skill, where he dominated, setting up goal after goal for his side.

National coach Julian Nagelsmann has nominated Jonathan Burkardt.

In his place, Nagelsmann has nominated returning player Jonathan Burkardt. The Mainz 05 forward has been dominant in the Bundesliga this season, with 18 goals in 29 matches. However, this has not quite translated with the national team so far, where he seemed out of his element against Italy in the last international window.
With several striker options, it is not certain that Burkardt will see the field in the upcoming fixtures, but he certainly has something to prove this time out. Can Germany overcome the long list of injuries to acquire their first Nations League title?
