He enjoys discovering hidden gems and sharing them with Polygon’s audience. Previously, he was the gaming editor for AIPT Comics and has written for other outlets like XDA, How-To Geek, and The List.

He enjoys soulslikes, character-driven RPGs, and third-person shooters plucked straight out of the Xbox 360 era. He also likes to flex his non-video game nerdy knowledge sometimes, whether that’s explaining who’s who in the new Wolverine game or recommending a comic book series about a sentient sword.

Two for the price of zero

The Epic Games Store is offering two great free PC games this week. For a limited time, you can grab a rubber hose animation horror game and a spy-themed puzzle game.

Bad Cheese

Like April’s Mouse: P.I. for Hire, Bad Cheese uses rubber hose animation that looks like it was plucked straight out of the 1920s. However, don’t expect the charm of Steamboat Willie. Bad Cheese is a psychological horror game with some truly gross character designs. You play as a mouse spending a weekend home alone. While the rest of their family is away, they have to explore, clean, and contend with demons sharing their home. Typical mouse stuff.

Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise

Agent A is a stylish, retro-futuristic game where you’re tasked with infiltrating an enemy spy’s hideout, which is filled with tricky puzzles to solve. Take note of your surroundings, as the clues you need will be scattered about like in Blue Prince. Agent A has nearly 2,000 Overwhelmingly Positive player reviews on Steam.

If Bad Cheese and Agent A catch your eye, all you need to do is log in to the Epic Games Store and claim them. The games will be free until 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 22.
