Want to know the Genshin Impact 5.7 release date? We’re getting close to the end of the 5.0 cycle, and Hoyoverse shows no signs of slowing down as it prepares yet another update to the game. With that said, this will be a smaller update compared to what we’ve seen in the past, but there’s still a lot to look forward to.
There’s already excitement around Skirk, the latest five-star Genshin Impact new character joining the roster, and Hoyoverse has also teased Dahlia, a new four-star character. We should note that while there hasn’t been any official word about what’s to come in the Genshin Impact 5.7 update, we’ve collected information based on the ongoing gacha game beta to create this guide.
Genshin Impact 5.7 release date window
The Genshin Impact 5.7 release date is likely set to arrive on June 18, 2025. As with Hoyoverse’s regular release cadence, there’s usually an update every six weeks, placing the 5.7 update in the third week of June.
Genshin Impact 5.7 new characters
Hoyoverse posted two sneak peeks on May 13 showing off the newest characters coming to the game: Skirk and Dahlia.
Skirk is a five-star sword-wielding Cryo user, but she isn’t entirely new to hardcore Genshin Impact players. She was first introduced to the game in the 4.2 update, playing a role as Tartaglia’s teacher, as revealed in the Fontaine Archon Quest. Based on what we’ve seen from Homdgcat Wiki’s data mined leaks, it appears Skirk’s kit synergizes extremely well with Escoffier, the Cryo support character from the previous update.
Dahlia is also a sword user, though unlike Skirk, he utilizes the Hydro element. As a support character, he’s able to create shields while providing an attack speed buff to his party. We usually aren’t quick to judge characters, but Dahlia’s kit leaves a lot to be desired. Unless he receives a sudden buff in the beta (while this is rare, this does occasionally happen), we can’t imagine many people will want to use Dahlia in their parties.
