Google to offer Gemini Pro AI plan worth Rs 35,100 free to all Reliance Jio users

Reliance Industries and Google have announced a strategic partnership that will provide eligible Jio users with 18 months of free access to Google AI Pro, a premium offering valued at Rs 35,100 per user. The collaboration aims to democratize artificial intelligence access across India as part of Reliance’s “AI for All” vision.The free Google AI Pro plan includes access to Google’s most advanced Gemini 2.5 Pro model through the Gemini app, enhanced capabilities for generating images and videos using Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models, expanded Notebook LM access for study and research, and 2 TB of cloud storage.

Jio 5G users aged 18-25 years will be the first ones to get free Google AI Pro

Eligible Jio customers can activate the offer directly through the MyJio app. The initial rollout will prioritize young users aged 18 to 25 years, with plans to expand rapidly to all Jio subscribers nationwide. The free Google AI Pro plan will be available to users recharged with unlimited 5G plans, starting at Rs 198.

Reliance-Google partnership extends to enterprise AI and cloud infrastructure

Beyond consumer offerings, the collaboration extends to enterprise solutions. Reliance Intelligence will become a strategic partner for Google Cloud, providing organizations with greater access to Tensor Processing Units (TPUs)—Google’s advanced AI hardware accelerators. This infrastructure will enable businesses to train larger AI models and execute complex projects more efficiently.Additionally, Reliance Intelligence will drive adoption of Gemini Enterprise, Google’s unified agentic AI platform for businesses, across Indian organizations. The company plans to develop pre-built enterprise AI agents within the Gemini Enterprise ecosystem.Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, emphasized the partnership’s goal of making India “not just AI-enabled but AI-empowered,” while Google CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted the collaboration’s potential to expand AI access across India’s consumer, business, and developer communities.
