Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar follows the farming sim trend of having minimal storage. Every farming sim gamer out there knows that there are few things more annoying than having to collect forages, collectibles, crops, and everything else in between, with only a limited amount of storage. Thankfully, in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, you can increase your carry capacity and farm storage.
When you first start the game in Spring, you have 16 slots available in your bag storage and 24 slots in storage at your home. That may sound like a lot at first, but once you consider how items can have different qualities (particularly crops, food, and even foraged items), your storage space can fill up rather quickly.
What is an up-and-coming farmer to do? Simple, you’ll have to find a way to expand your storage. Read on below to find out how to expand your bag and home storage in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.
How to expand bag storage in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar
You’re out of luck if you think you can just head on into Zephyr Town and ask general store owner Miguel for a bag upgrade. But all is not lost: the only way to upgrade your bag storage is through Wilbur, but only at the Saturday marketplace.
Wilbur is Zephyr Town’s gruff, but kind-hearted carpenter. He is the father of Kevin and husband of Clara, but his main use is his stall at the Saturday marketplace. You can find him in the southeast section of the bazaar, next to Miguel’s shop. If you talk to him, he’ll have several options for you to choose from, such as expanding your fields so you can have more crops and thus, make a lot more money at the bazaar.
One such option is expanding your bag storage, which costs as follows:
Upgrade | Cost |
---|---|
First upgrade (24 slots) | 5,000g |
Second upgrade (36 slots) | 30,000g |
Unfortunately, you’ll have to raise the bazaar rank of Zephyr Town at least once before Wilbur can open his stall. This is manageable even in the first week of Spring if you work hard planting crops and picking up foragables. By the second week, Wilbur will have opened his stall and you’ll be able to gain more bag storage.
How to expand house storage in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar
Just like your bag storage, your house storage can be upgraded through Wilbur’s stall at the Saturday bazaar.
The first storage expansion for your house costs 5,000g, just like your bag, and increases your storage slots from 24 to 48. There are more expansions after this that increase your storage capacity by another 24 slots, but they get much more expensive, with the second expansion costing 20,000g and the others going up from there.
If you ask me, when choosing between the bag and house storage, I’d recommend picking the house storage first. It may be frustrating to keep going back and forth to your farm, but you don’t have to worry that you’re going to run out of slots for all your crops, especially if you plan on selling them on Saturday.
As you progress through Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, you’ll even get the option to expand your storage even further through Wilbur’s stall. But for now? Stick to the basics and continue working on your farm until you feel more secure with the money you have.
