Gathering some glassrock in Hades 2 can give you a serious advantage, as this dark, shiny stone is needed for various weapon upgrades and incantations. But like most resources, it only spawns in a specific location.

Eager to boost your weapons? Here’s where to find glassrock, also known as g-rock, in Hades 2.

How to get glassrock in Hades 2

Glassrock is a reagent found in the Mourning Fields, the region between Oceanus and Tartarus. This means you’ll have to beat Scylla, the Oceanus boss, to obtain it.

Similar to silver, limestone, and bronze, glassrock spawns in the form of a small, sparkly boulder. As it appears randomly, you’ll need a bit of luck to encounter it on your next run.

As long as you’ve previously crafted the Crescent Pick (which only costs one ash) at the Silver Pool, you can use the interaction button to collect the glassrock. Be sure to repeat this step twice, until the glassrock vein is fully depleted. Without special upgrades, you will receive three pieces of glassrock per boulder.

Additionally, if you’ve unlocked the “Bravery of Familiar Spirits” incantation, you can increase your likelihood of finding glassrock and other ores with Raki the raven. Upgrade Raki’s “Stone Bond” skill with witch’s delights and bring Raki along with you to increase the number of outcroppings on your runs.

Once you’ve got some glassrock, be sure to purchase some weapon upgrades at the Silver Pool, such as the Aspect of Thanatos for the Moonstone Axe, or the Aspect of Artemis for the Sister Blades.
