Many moons ago, I read a book about the concept of ‘The Devil.’ Is he a little horned, goat-legged guy who likes to cause chaos? Or is he that eerie feeling in the back of your mind; the one that tells you to mess things up and see what happens. It certainly gave me a lot to think about (I read it at least ten years ago now), and It Has My Face, a new horror game published by Dead by Daylight’s Behaviour Interactive, has brought it back to the forefront of my mind.
It Has My Face tasks you with one thing: killing your own clone. You’re trapped amid blocky, confused crowds in an eerie dystopian reality, watching and waiting for your body double to strike. It’s kill or be killed – the horror game literally tasks you with ending yourself. You can see why I’m reminded of that book now, right?

As you attempt to survive in this dreary sci-fi world, you’ll pick up various tools to help you locate (and eliminate) your clone. There are, of course, weapons and gadgets (the game’s screenshots appear to show some sort of scanner), as well as various new tactics to help you spot them in the crowds. Analysing human behavior is just as important as having a fast trigger finger, so keep an eye out for anything suspicious.
But just because one run is successful, that doesn’t mean the next is a guaranteed win. It Has My Face’s maps are procedurally generated, meaning that every game feels fresh. AI will react differently, and tools will be scattered across the map in randomized locations. While thankfully it won’t learn and adapt like the Xenomorph in Alien Isolation, that feeling of paranoia is only going to get worse as things progress.
Speaking of progression, It Has My Face has various different maps, each of which will give you clues about the overarching narrative. Why are there clones? What are they doing? Why is the world so… sad? Questions upon questions; hopefully you survive long enough to uncover the answers.
Behaviour has confirmed that It Has My Face is set to launch in early access later in 2025. In the meantime, however, a new demo has just hit Steam. You can try it out right here.
