It has finally been confirmed that Kriti Sanon will soon star opposite Dhanush in the film, Tere Ishk Mein. On Tuesday, the makers of the film released a teaser showcasing Kriti in an enigmatic avatar, perfectly embodying the depth, intensity, and complexities of her character. The hauntingly beautiful score promises an unforgettable musical odyssey.
Soon after Kriti was confirmed as the female lead, several fans reacted to the teaser and expressed excitement to watch their favourite actress on screen with Dhanush. “The roles Kriti is talking up recently are simply awesome, I’ll be there for this film FDFS,” one of the fans wrote. “Her chemistry with Dhanush looks interesting, waiting for this movie,” added another.
This comes a day after the makers of Tere Ishk Mein released another teaser featuring a poignant voiceover by an unidentified actress. In the clip, she poignantly questioned, “Shankar, Ishq mein sirf ladke hi marte hai kya? Kuch ladkiya bhi kaleja rakhti hai jaan dene ka.”
Produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, this film promises to take audiences on a rollercoaster of emotions, with a monumental soundtrack by the legendary A.R. Rahman and poetic lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Previously, Rai revealed that Tere Ishk Mein shares thematic roots with his 2013 masterpiece, Raanjhanaa. “It is from the world of Raanjhanaa, but… it’s an expansion rather than an extension. It enhances the emotional depth with a new narrative,” he explained.
The film, written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, promises to retain the passionate love and intensity that defined Raanjhanaa while exploring a fresh storyline. Rai has described the project as a deeply personal exploration of love and tragedy, reflecting his own evolution as a filmmaker.
