When is the Marvel Rivals Season 1 release date? We’re already thinking ahead to the 2025 roadmap for the multiplayer shooter, and if it’s anything like its competitors, Overwatch and Valorant, then we can surely expect plenty of additional content and seasonal updates to keep things fresh.
Season 0 of the multiplayer game brought us to the beginning of January, giving us plenty of time to get to know the Marvel Rivals characters and figure out the best of the best on the Marvel Rivals tier list. Though details are pretty thin, we do have an idea of what’s coming to Marvel Rivals Season 1 and when to expect it.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 release date
Marvel Rivals Season 1 begins at 1am PST / 4am EST / 9am GMT on Friday, January 10, 2025. NetEase confirmed the time in the Season 1 Eternal Night Falls teaser trailer.
Creative director Guangyun ‘Guangguang’ Chen previously confirmed an “early January 2025” launch window in the ‘Dev Vision Vol. 1’ developer diary.
Each Marvel Rivals season typically lasts three months. Season 0 began when the game was released, but has a much shorter length – a warmup for what’s to come in Season 1.
Season 0 is titled Doom’s Rise and kicks off the story of Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from 2099 joining forces to make universes collide in the Timestream Entanglement. This causes all sorts of chaos for our Marvel Rivals characters, but heroes and villains unite to save realities across the multiverse.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 content
Marvel Rivals Season 1 is expected to ship with the following content:
- New heroes – The Fantastic Four
- New skins
- New maps
- A seasonal storyline
- Team-Up abilities
- New games modes
The Fantastic Four have been confirmed by NetEase, though it’s currently unclear how Marvel’s first family will materialize in-game. Leaks have suggested all four members will be playable. Further character leaks have pointed to the arrival of Blade and Ultron, though it’s unclear if they’ll also arrive during Season 1.
