In addition to giving players the chance to win significant cash rewards, this unique lottery encourages the youths to learn archery and take up the sport. HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?
- Two rounds of the Teer game, a unique lottery in Meghalaya, last two minutes each.
- Skilled archers aim 30 arrows at a predetermined target in the first round and 20 arrows in the second.
- To place bets, players must guess a number between 0 and 99, which is the total number of arrows that will strike the target.
- A player is declared the winner if they accurately guess the result of either round.
- The game is inexpensive for players and adds excitement and unpredictability to the traditional archery sport, with lottery tickets priced between Rs 1 and Rs 50, and sold by approved merchants.
The total amount of money won from wagers and the accuracy of the contestants’ predictions determine the Shillong Teer lottery award.
For example, a wager of Rs 1 can yield a payment of Rs 80 if the results of the first round is accurately anticipated, and Rs 60 if the same conclusion is predicted for the second round. A participant can earn up to Rs 4,000 if they correctly anticipate both rounds and place a wager of Rs 1 on each.
