PC gamers looking for a new budget gaming GPU could soon be in for a treat, as this latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti price leak makes it look like this new graphics card is going to have a surprisingly reasonable price. Nvidia hasn’t officially even announced the existence of this GPU right now, but if this leak is right, the new 5060 Ti will be up to $70 cheaper than its predecessor, the RTX 4060 Ti.

This latest rumor comes shortly after a previous RTX 5060 Ti leak suggested the new Nvidia GPU would be priced similarly to the 4060 Ti, but that’s contradicted by this news. As with previous RTX 5060 Ti speculation, this leak again suggests there will be two versions of this new graphics card, one with 8GB of VRAM, and one with 16GB.

It’s the cost of the latter that looks particularly good, with this latest leak claiming that the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB price is $429, which is considerably cheaper than the $499 price of the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. This latest leak comes from IT Home, which claims to have intercepted communications between Nvidia and its board partners. According to this leak, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB price is $379, which is only $20 cheaper than the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, but it’s still good to see a price drop in these times.

The RTX 4060 Ti came in for a fair bit of criticism when it came out, with $399 being considered too much for an 8GB card, while the 16GB card was priced too close to the RTX 4070 to make it worth considering.

At $429, however, the RTX 5060 Ti would offer decent value for money. The new GPU is rumored to use fast GDDR7 VRAM, which would give it a step up from the 4060 Ti, and it’s also expected to have 4,608 CUDA cores and 36 RT cores, giving it a small step up in spec from the 4060 Ti’s 4,352 CUDA cores and 32 RT cores. IT Home also claims to have been given an insight into some of the specs, saying that the 5060 Ti GPU clock speed is 2,407MHz, with a 2,572MHz boost clock.

It’s the rumored, much lower price of the 16GB card that stands out here, though, as that extra memory means it could even outperform the RTX 5070 in some tests. As we found in our RTX 5070 review, 12GB of VRAM isn’t enough to play some new games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with path tracing enabled, but this rumored, budget-friendly 16GB card could potentially do it.

As always with leaks and rumors, however, bear in mind that none of this information has come officially from Nvidia, so it’s to be taken with a grain of salt. We’ll just have to wait and see whether these GPUs are actually released, and at these prices. Whether you’ll even be able to buy these rumored GPUs at their MSRPs is also a good question right now, especially when RTX 5070 stock can be so hard to find.

Even if the rumored 5060 Ti specs aren’t hugely different from those of the 4060 Ti, though, I do really like the look of that rumored price for the 16GB version.
